Kindergarten Meeting

The day has finally arrived for Tuck's kindergarten meeting.  He is so excited to go to kindergarten.  Guess who woke up with a fever this morning?  Yep, Tucker.  He was pretty bummed about it.   I found him cuddled up under a blanket watching a movie.  This boy doesn't sit still much.  He is always moving around or picking on someone.

One fun thing about being sick and running a fever, mom lets us have pop cycles.  When my kids are sick (like most kids) they don't want to eat or drink, I have found this is a good way to get them to get some kind of fluid in.

After lunch we found him like this in the chair....

About 4 we gave him some Tylenol so he would perk up just a bit.  After the medicine was in his system for about 45 minutes his fever went down and he finally moved from the chair.  He got a bath and finally ate some real food  and was back again picking on his sisters.  Josh took him over to the school for the meeting but Tucker was coughing SO much.  Josh called and we went to pick him up and Josh stayed for the meeting.  Tuck was kind of bummed but we went and rented "Hotel Trannsylvania" and he was ok.  He loves that movie.  By about 7:30 you could tell his medicine was wearing off.  He was back in his chair and this is what we found...

Chaney's temperature was closer to being normal today but she was coughing like a crazy lady.  She likes to take her temperature so she was doing it about every hour.  She is so bored being at home.  While she has been home sick we have been reading her Little Readers book, reviewing her sight words, reviewing four different verses for Awanas and reviewing the books of the New Testament.  She has now mastered all of these so now she has been playing school with the littles.  Oh, and she decided to do this...

Yes, we pull out teeth here, not hair.  She now has lost 8 teeth.

By the end of the evening her temp was back up to 101 which meant no school again for her.  This is how we found her...

I hate it when my babies are sick.  On a side note, since Tuck was on the couch most of the day it was probably one of our quietest days in a while.
